This past month we have had to say goodbye to two of our colleagues that have completed their postings here in Vancouver.
Birgit Densch, our deputy consul and head of administration, has moved on to Niamey, Niger and Ulrike Stoll, assistant to the Consul General, has been posted to Kingston, Jamaica. We feel very grateful for all the great work they have done at the Consulate over the past years and we wish both of them all the best for their new postings!
Their successors have already landed safely in Vancouver (both are fully vaccinated removing the need to quarantine). Hans Stocker is our new deputy consul and head of administration. He is 59 years old and joined us after serving a posting in Mazar-i Sharif, Afghanistan for the past 2 years. Tamara Barduhn (33 y/o) is joining us as the new assistant to the Consul General after having worked at the embassy in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo, for the past 3 years. We warmly welcome both of them into our team and to Vancouver!
