The first round of fall deadlines for DAAD programs in support of research and study have been announced with the application window for all programs mentioned below opening on July 1.

- September 25: Study Scholarship (Architecture)
- September 28: Study Scholarship (Music)
- October 16: Research Stays for University Academics and Scientists
- November 2: Study Scholarship (Performing Arts)
- November 3: Study Scholarship (All Disciplines)
- November 3: Short-Term Research Grant (PhDs, Master's, Postdocs)
- November 3: One-Year Research Grants for Doctoral Candidates
- November 30: Study Scholarship (Fine Art, Design, Visual Communication & Film)
Deadline: October 16, 2023
Research Stays for Faculty Grant
The next deadline for DAAD's Research Stays for Faculty grant will be October 16, 2023. This program supports research visits to Germany between 1 and 3 months in length and is open to scholars working in any field.
Applications submitted at the upcoming deadline are for stays taking place between April 1 and September 30, 2024.

Study Scholarship: Master's Studies in Germany
DAAD's Study Scholarship supports exceptional graduates of North American Bachelor programs who pursue Master's studies in Germany. For studies starting in October 2024, the application deadline is November 3, 2023.
The program provides a monthly living allowance, a transatlantic travel stipend and insurance coverage for up to 24-months of study. It may be used in support of programs taught in English and / or German.
This program is open to graduates from all fields of study except artistic disciplines.*
