Delegation Trip to Germany: Food and Beverage
The Canadian-German Chamber is organizing a trip to Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Germany’s high-tech location for food innovation, from September 18-22, for a week of business meetings, site visits, networking and learning about opportunities in food innovation in Germany.
Attendees will be given the chance to explore prominent companies in the realm of culinary innovation alongside esteemed institutions like the Fraunhofer Institute. They will also have the platform to showcase their company, products, and technologies to a carefully chosen audience of industry experts.

Hydrogen business delegation tour through Germany
The Canadian German Chamber has partnered with Germany Trade and Invest and Energiewächter GmbH to offer Canadian hydrogen stakeholders the opportunity to be part of a senior-level business delegation to Germany from October 23-27, 2023. Highlights include a networking-focused delegation tour with visits to companies, industrial parks and research institutions, as well as travel through central Germany from the West to the East, visiting key energy transition regions.

Energy Efficiency in Office and Residential Buildings
In collaboration with Renewables Academy (RENAC), the Canadian German Chamber is hosting a virtual Canadian German Conference on Energy Efficiency in Office and Residential Buildings on September 19. The webinar aims to explore the latest trends and technologies in energy-efficient buildings in both Canada and Germany. As part of the Energy Solutions Program, a German business delegation will be participating in the conference, virtually “visiting” Canada from September 18-22, 2023.

Seven of the world’s leading automakers, including AHK members BMW Group and Mercedes-Benz Group AG, are creating a joint venture to accelerate the transition to electric vehicles in North America. They are planning to develop a new, high-powered charging network with at least 30,000 chargers in urban areas and along travel corridors of Canada and the US by 2030. The first stations are scheduled to open in the summer of 2024. The stations will focus on an elevated customer experience with various amenities and use renewable energy.
