The Munich Security Conference (MSC) 2024 took place from February 16th to 18th in Munich. This year's conference, marking its 60th anniversary, continued to serve as a crucial platform for strategic discussions on global security challenges.

Founded in 1963 by Ewald von Kleist, the MSC has spent six decades bringing together leading decision-makers and experts from around the world to address pressing international security concerns.

In conjunction with the conference, the Munich Security Report 2024 has been released, providing a sobering analysis of the current global landscape, highlighting the shift away from global cooperation towards a more fragmented, competitive geopolitical environment. It underscores the dangers of prioritizing relative gains over absolute benefits, which threatens to propel the world into a cycle of lose-lose outcomes, undermining decades of progress in areas like multilateral cooperation, democracy, and poverty reduction. The report calls for a delicate balance between preparing for a competitive geopolitical climate and revitalizing positive-sum cooperation to address critical global challenges and ensure inclusive growth.
