This year, skywatchers in Germany have been treated to a rare and mesmerizing natural wonder—the Northern Lights over Germany. Typically associated with Scandinavia, Canada, and other northern regions, this magical light display made a surprise appearance in German skies due to increased solar activity.
Shades of green, pink, and purple shimmered over parts of Germany, delighting onlookers who were fortunate enough to witness this celestial phenomenon.
While not a common occurrence in Germany, experts say that the enhanced solar activity could bring more opportunities to see the aurora in the coming months.

The Perseid meteor shower is at its best in August, with up to 100 shooting stars per hour. As happens every year in August, the debris of a comet called the Perseids passes over the Earth.
