Have you ever heard of the old tradition of tradesmen that is still alive in Germany? After completing their apprenticeship, tradesmen continue with the so called Journeyman years (German, Wanderjahre/Walz) for at least three years. During this journey they wear a special costume, by which one can recognize them. The German-Canadian Benevolent Society of B.C. will invite Vincent Remer who will talk about this old tradition from the Medial Age on October 26. Take the chance and learn more about German traditions and culture!
