Kids' Koncerts are concerts for children four to eleven years of age and their families in five fun and educational musical presentations. The Kids’ Koncerts series features the full orchestra and the very best in children’s musical entertainers. An Instrument Fairs begins one hour before each concert in the Orpheum lobby. The world famous production of the children’s film Beethoven Lives Upstairs features a lively exchange of letters between young Christoph and his uncle. Their subject is the “madman” (Ludwig van Beethoven) who has moved into the upstairs apartment of Christoph’s home. Through a touching correspondence dramatically underscored with the composer’s most beautiful excerpts, Christoph comes to understand the genius of Beethoven, the beauty of his music, and the torment of his deafness.
