Yom HaShoah is the day of commemoration for the approximately six million Jews who perished in the Holocaust as a result of the actions carried out by Nazi Germany, as well as for the Jewish resistance in that period.

Lillian Boraks-Nemetz, a Holocaust survivor speaker, will deliver a keynote address about her experiences during the Holocaust. Boraks-Nemetz was born in Warsaw, Poland, and survived the Holocaust as a child. After being incarcerated in the Warsaw Ghetto for eighteen months she hid under a false identity for the remainder of the war.

The commemoration will also feature a musical program with the violin player Nancy Di Novo and the cantor Yaacov Orzech.
