The melody of the national anthem of Germany (called “Kaiserlied”) is only one of Franz Joseph Haydn´s famous compositions which are known all over the world. Two quartets from the United States will play Haydn´s String Quartet in G Major, Op. 77 No. 1 and his String Quartet in C Major, Op. 20 No. 2 at the Eric Harvie Theatre in addition to the performance of other works (György Ligeti & Béla Bartók).
