The German film “Lara”, directed by Jan-Ole Gerster, will be shown at The Vancouver International Film Festival. The film is about a difficult mother-son relationship. The protagonist Lara (Corinna Harfouch) is celebrating her 60th birthday and in the evening her composer son (Tom Schilling) has his important piano concert debut. But Lara thinks that she is not welcome at the concert and struggles with family problems. The film will not be shown in Germany until the beginning of November!
