Johann Sebastian Bach was a German composer and musician of the Baroque period. He is known for the instrumental compositions such as the Art of Fugue and the Brandenburg Concertos as well as for vocal music such as the St. Matthew Passion and the Mass in B minor. He is the most prominent of the musician family Bach and is one of the most known and important musicians today. Especially by professional musicians he is often regarded as the greatest composer of music history. His works influenced subsequent generations of composers and inspired music-making artists to countless arrangements.
