The Vancouver Symphony Orchestra Masterworks Gold series presents: Romantic Bruckner plus Gidon Kremer plays Schumann. Gidon Kremer’s legendary combination of dazzling technique and faithful musical insight will show us the brilliance of Schumann’s subtle and intimate Cello Concerto in this transcription for violin. Bruckner’s 4th and most popular Romantic symphony creates an almost Wagnerian world of delicate birdsong, medieval towns, and mounted knights bursting out into nature.
