In partnership with the Saskatoon Symphonie Orchestra, SGC will host a virtual Beethoven event on Sunday, December 6, 2020. The talk with Executive Director Mark Turner and conductor Eric Paetkau about Ludwig van Beethoven will be live-streamed through YouTube.
YouTube Videos
In the past weeks, SGC was able to add the following two videos to SGC’s YouTube Channel:
- A Brief History of Saskatchewan (SGC’s webinar for newcomers)
- A walk through Berlin on the 30th anniversary of Germany Unity on October 3,2020 (in collaboration with former Honorary Consul of German to SK, Barbara Hoggard-Lulay, Chantal Stehwien, Felix Turcotte and filmmaker Tom Gill)
Online Advents Calendar
To increase awareness, interest people in German traditions, and to strengthen our community, SGC is currently developing an interactive online advent calendar with the help of a project coordinator (Josephin Dick). Content will include quizzes, videos, pictures, traditions, crafts, recipes, and more. This calendar also allows SGC to bring more traffic to our website and YouTube Channel.
