Vancouver Company Planning a Production Plant in Germany

The state of Brandenburg as an electromobility location is growing. After the US manufacturers Tesla and Microvast, the Canadian company Rock Tech is now planning a production plant for lithium hydroxide in Guben (Spree-Neisse district), which is to be used for batteries in electric cars. Production is scheduled to begin in 2024 and will have an annual output of 24,000 tons of lithium hydroxide, which corresponds to the needs of 500,000 electric vehicles.
