The United Voices Choir is pleased to invite you to their Spring 2023 concerts which will be held on Saturday April 1, 2pm at Kerrisdale Presbyterian Church, and Sunday April 2, 7pm at St. Paul’s Anglican Church!

The Choir under the direction of Greg Caisley and with orchestral accompaniment will be performing Josef Rheinberger’s Messa in C major (op.169), and Luigi Cherubini’s Requiem in C minor.

These concerts present a rare opportunity for classical music lovers as the works, and their composers, are relatively unknown today. However, in their time they were successful and widely admired. Beethoven, no less, called Cherubini “the greatest living composer” and Schumann suggested that he was “without equal”. Rheinberger is recognized as one of the most influential composers of the German-Romantic period.
