Please note that since 2015 the Consulate in Montreal does not offer consular services (see below).
Consular assistance for German citizens in emergencies:
In urgent emergencies, German citizens can contact the on-call service of the German missions abroad in Canada outside opening hours by calling +1 416 953-3817.
This number can also be contacted via text message. Please note, however, that an answer will only be given if a real emergency can be identified.
We ask for your understanding that the emergency service does not answer general questions and cannot provide information on the status of passport or visa applications.

The Consulate has no consular district. For any consular matters (e.g. passport or visa), please contact the Consulate General in Toronto.
There is one exception: For Schengen visa (short term visa, e.g. for tourist, business affairs) please refer to the Austrian Embassy in Ottawa

Accessibility Information:
The Consulate General supports citizens with disabilities and strives to facilitate their access to its premises within the limits of the architectural constraints.
Barrier-free access to the office building is located at 1250 René-Lévesque Boulevard West. All doors of the building are sufficiently wide, but do not have automatic closing or opening mechanisms. The consulate can be reached by an elevator. There is no structural or technical support for blind and visually impaired people. There are accessible toilets on the consulate general’s floor.
