Are you travelling to Germany in the next while? Please read and review the updated information.
Due to the Covid 19 pandemic, there are travel restrictions for entry from many countries.
Canada has not been classified as a “high risk Country”yet and is still regarded as a “regular risk country”, which means that you may either take a Covid test 48 hours before entry and carry the result in written or digital form with you or you may present the negative test up to 48 hours after arriving in Germany.
When entering from risk areas, there is an obligation to register digitally, an obligation to test for the coronavirus and, depending on the regulations of the federal state, an obligation to quarantine.
