Welcome

German Walk TO with Iris Schweiger, © German Consulate Toronto
Twice a year, we are discovering Toronto's German roots during our in person GermanWalkTO . We are walking again on Saturday, October 15th with tour guide Iris Schweiger. Register for a free walking experience through Toronto.
October is German Heritage Month, and as such, we are happy to once again offer our German Walk, a tour through the German roots of the city of Toronto.
Toronto is a city of neighbourhoods, and many of them have an ethnic history. Cabbagetown, Chinatown, Little Italy, Little India, Roncesvalles Village (Polish), or The Danforth (Greek) are just some examples. While Germans in Toronto don’t have one particular neighbourhood to call their own, many German influences can be found across the city. The fall edition of our in person GermanWalkTO will be in German language and guided by Iris Schweiger.
Registration is free, however only limited space is available. If you RSVP, please be mindful and be sure to attend or cancel in time if you can’t attend in order to accommodate others. All public health regulations and guidelines will be followed closely. Do not attend if you do not feel well and/or answer yes to any of the Toronto Public Health’s Covid screening questions. Please note this event will be photographed and video-captured.
