We are thrilled to once again collaborate with the Lavazza IncluCity Film Festival (ICFF) for a German Film Night in Toronto.
ICFF has consistently been a platform for showcasing exceptional international cinema, and on July 7th, we invite you to join us for the highly Canadian premiere screening of “A Thousand Lines” (“Tausend Zeilen”), a compelling film by the renowned German director, Michael Bully Herbig.
“A Thousand Lines” tells the gripping true story of Claas Relotius, a journalist who faced a scandal that shook the world of journalism in Germany and beyond in 2018. With intense storytelling and brilliant performances, this film takes us on a journey through a web of lies, manipulation, and the devastating consequences that unfolded during this shocking event.
In the fast-changing world of media, “A Thousand Lines” makes us reflect on the difference between truth and lies in our society. Herbig skillfully looks into the challenges journalists face in the digital era, making us wonder how reliable the news is and why honesty and integrity in reporting matters.
The screening of “A Thousand Lines” will take place on July 7th at 9:15 pm in the Distillery District in Toronto. We encourage you to secure your tickets in advance, as this film promises to be an absolute highlight of the ICFF Toronto lineup.
