100 years ago, one of the most famous German-speaking authors, Franz Kafka, passed away. The Goethe-Instituts worldwide dedicate various events to him this year.

We pay our tribute with a reading circle on Kafka's narrative “The Metamorphosis” - in German: “Die Verwandlung” - certainly one of his most popular as well as grotesque works.

Preparation: You should lend or buy the e-book/audio book and either read or listen to it before our meeting. Reflect about how the story resonates with you. Would you be curious now to read other works of the author? Have you learned any interesting new words? Share your ideas about the story with other German language learners.
