Learn about prominent architects forced to flee Nazi Germany
In the 1930s, many prominent architects persecuted by the Nazis fled, seeking refuge in London, New York and Tel Aviv. They transplanted their innovative design concepts, enriching global architecture with their modernist vision. Learn about ex-Bauhäuslers Marcel Breuer and Walter Gropius, Erich Mendelsohn and Oskar Kaufmann’s White City and more. Held in honour of Holocaust Education Month. Dr. Peter Harris begins this three-part series Thursday, November 7 – join us in person at the Miles Nadal JCC, on Zoom simulcast, or register to receive the recordings. Questions?
