On May 7, we had the pleasure of celebrating the 25th anniversary of the German International School Toronto at our Consulate General. Alongside our valued partners from the worlds of culture, education, and business, we looked back on a quarter-century of bilingual education in Toronto.

In their remarks, Acting Consul General Barbara de Tschaschell, Principal Rouven Hollmann, and Board Chair Markus Giese each highlighted the importance of German schools abroad in their own way: Our Consul General emphasized the value of the School to the German Community and Expats in Toronto; Principal. Hollmann spoke about the outstanding educational quality German schools abroad continue to offer; and Markus Giese concluded by noting that supporting these schools is not only a cultural responsibility but also a smart investment for businesses into the next generation.
