The European Union Film Festival is taking place from November 13th to 27th at the Alliance Française Spadina Theatre! 🍿

Discover the essence of Europe by embarking on a journey through powerful stories and remarkable characters in a diversity of cinematic styles and genres across 28 films from 28 countries. 🎞️

Germany is taking part in the festival with the movie “Beyond the Blue Border”(Jenseits der blauen Grenzen), directed by Sarah Neumann. The historical drama portraits the story of the young gifted swimmer Hanna who tries to escape the authoritarian 1989 East Germany by embarking on a dangerous escape through the Baltic Sea with her best friend Willi.
