Emil’s father loses his license, so Emil decides to get him a fake one in Berlin using money from his mother’s letters. On the way, he’s robbed by thief Max Grundeis. Undeterred, Emil teams up with local kids for a fast-paced chase across the city, turning Berlin into a detective playground.
