HOLOFICTION, for which the Goethe-Institut has acquired global rights, is an experimental documentary that explores the visual representation of the Holocaust through a montage of thousands of excerpts from fictional films and television series produced between 1938 and the present.

Berlin-set WHERE TO? was a “hidden gem” (Hollywood Reporter) at the 2026 Berlinale. The drama follows Hassan, a Palestinian Uber driver, and Amir, a young Israeli, who form a bond through recurring rides in Berlin.

Real-life period drama ROSENTHAL follows Hans Rosenthal, a beloved German game-show host and Holocaust survivor. When a live broadcast coincides with the 40th anniversary of Kristallnacht, he faces a painful choice between hosting his show or attending Germany’s first memorial.
