From August 13-15, 2026, London, Ontario will host the 2026 FISU World University Rowing Championships at scenic Fanshawe Lake- the first time Canada has welcomed this prestigious event. More than 300 student-athletes from over 20 countries are expected to compete.

Germany is set to send a delegation of approximately 20 student-athletes and five officials, who will be in London from August 10–16. The team is expected to compete in 10 of the 11 championship events.

Racing will take place at the Doug Wells Training Centre, a venue with a proud rowing tradition that has served as a training base for Canada's national rowing team and hosted several major regattas.

Organized by Western University in partnership with Rowing Canada, the City of London, Tourism London, and other partners, the championships celebrate not only elite competition but also international friendship, academic excellence, and cultural exchange.
