Strengthening German-Canadian cooperation in the film sector
The Trade Department of the Canadian Embassy in Berlin is initiating a German-Canadian Animation Lab in cooperation with the government film funding agency Telefilm Canada and with the support of Animation Germany, which aims to strengthen co-productions. Both virtual and physical elements are part of the program.
As part of the project, five producers each from Germany and Canada will have the opportunity to participate in carefully curated virtual workshops, followed by further in-person networking events at the Annecy International Animation Film Market (MIFA) to further strengthen the exchange between German and Canadian animation producers.
