What's your idea of celebrating the International Year of Quantum? Get ready to dive into quantum education - and put education strategies to the test with an interactive science diplomacy game.

Join the event titled Creating the Quantum Future – Education, Innovation, and Diplomacy, organized by the Consulates General Switzerland and France in Vancouver and Simon Fraser University Physics Department, with support from the Canadian Association of Physicists, Canada Excellence Research Chairs, and Mitacs.

The event will feature a panel discussion on educating the next generation of quantum leaders, with experts from Canada, France, Germany and Switzerland sharing insights on closing the quantum talent gap through education, outreach, and inclusion. Guests will also have the opportunity to network over lunch and join the audience of an interactive Quantum Diplomacy Game developed by GESDA - Geneva Science and Diplomacy Anticipator for the OQI – Open Quantum Institute at CERN – a collaborative role-playing experience designed to explore ethical, social, and governance questions surrounding emerging technologies.

Join the Event:

Monday, May 5 | 10:00 - 3:30pm
