The Roedde House Museum presents a thought-provoking exhibition exploring World War I from multiple perspectives. The display features Käthe Kollwitz’s powerful “Krieg” (War) woodcuts, alongside publications and artifacts highlighting her legacy through her family. Another section examines the experiences of German-Canadian families in Vancouver, including the Roedde family, who faced anti-German sentiment yet contributed to their community and supported returning soldiers. Through prints, personal documents, and historical objects, the exhibition offers insight into both the artistic response to war and the resilience of individuals and families during this turbulent period.
