Vancouver Premiere: Frieda’s Case (Free Screening)

The Consulate General of Switzerland and the Consulate General of Germany, together with the UBC German Student Association, invite you to the Vancouver premiere of the Swiss historical drama Frieda’s Case.
The film tells the true story of Frieda Keller, a young seamstress in 1904 Switzerland who was charged with the murder of her young son. It had its international premiere at the Victoria Film Festival 2025, where it won the Best Feature Film award.
Dr. Florian Gassner (UBC) will offer historical context on the period that shaped these events, and a Swiss researcher will provide commentary and join the audience for a Q&A. We are very much looking forward to an engaging discussion with you following the film!
