DAAD Research Ambassadors are faculty or postdocs at Canadian universities with experience conducting advanced research (PhD-level or above) in Germany and who help promote the country to their peers and students as a destination for research.

DAAD is accepting applications for the next cohort of Research Ambassadors until May 29, 2026.

This program is open to scholars working in all fields. Members of the new cohort must be able to attend a 1.5 day workshop in Ottawa in late August 2026.
