On Saturday, May 16, the German Canadian Benevolent Society will be showing a German film from 2003: The Miracle of Bern

The film tells the story of Germany’s victory in the 1954 FIFA World Cup in Bern—an event that, after many years of hardship, brought renewed hope and pride. Alongside this, it portrays the moving story of a man returning home from captivity after the war.

Family and friends are always warmly welcome.

At 2:00 pm, coffee, tea, and something sweet will be served.
The film begins at 2:30 p.m.
