The Vancouver Westside German School (VWGS) offers dynamic and engaging after-school German language instruction for students from kindergarten to Grade 12.

Their programs are tailored to support learners at all levels, whether they are new to the language or seeking to maintain and advance their existing German skills.

Established in 1992, VWGS is a non-profit institution that has proudly served the Vancouver community for over three decades. The school’s mission is to foster both linguistic proficiency and cultural appreciation. The school is supported by the Federal Republic of Germany and the Province of British Columbia.

Program Highlights
• Two learning streams: German as a Foreign Language (DaF) and German as a Second Language (DaZ)
• Preparation for the internationally recognized German Language Diplomas (DSD I & DSD II)
• High school credit eligibility: recognized by the BC Ministry of Education

Class Locations:
• Tuesday & Wednesday afternoon – Vancouver Westside
• Thursday afternoon – North Vancouver

Cultural Enrichment and Community Events: Throughout the school year, VWGS hosts a variety of cultural celebrations and activities, including:
