The West Vancouver Art Museum invites German-speaking visitors to a special curator-led tour of its current exhibition Jeff Wall: Inside on Saturday, August 22, from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m.

The tour will be held in German and offers an opportunity to explore the work of one of Canada's most influential contemporary artists. Admission to the tour is free; museum entry is by donation.

Born in Vancouver, Jeff Wall has maintained close ties with Germany throughout his distinguished career. His work has been exhibited at leading German institutions, including the Pinakothek der Moderne in Munich, the Kunsthalle Mannheim, the Kunsthalle Düsseldorf, and the Museum für Moderne Kunst in Frankfurt. He has also served as a visiting professor at the Düsseldorf Academy of Fine Arts and has given guest lectures in Berlin and Hamburg, making his career a remarkable example of the long-standing cultural exchange between Canada and Germany.

On view from July 29 to October 3, Jeff Wall: Inside brings together photographs spanning the past three decades, with a particular focus on works created during the last ten years—many of which are being shown in Vancouver for the first time. The exhibition explores a wide range of interior spaces, from intimate private rooms to bustling public settings, highlighting Wall's distinctive approach to composition, storytelling and photography.

The German Consulate General is pleased to share this opportunity and encourages everyone with an interest in contemporary art to attend.
