From October 2 to 8, SCI_ART 2026 brings together artists, scientists and research institutions from Canada and the European Union in Vancouver and Kelowna.

This year’s programme explores “After the Data / Cultural Climate Futures”, looking at environmental transformation, Northern research and technological infrastructures through artistic practice. In Vancouver, events include an art and technology symposium, a planetarium-based creative programme and a full-day symposium bringing together European and Canadian artists working across art, science, technology and environmental research.

While the programme is broader than Germany, it offers an interesting opportunity to explore European-Canadian collaboration at the intersection of culture, science and climate research.
