  • Saskatchewan Partners with DAAD
    The Government of Saskatchewan has partnered with the DAAD German Academic Exchange Service to deepen research and academic collaboration with Germany. This new Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) builds on over 50 years of exchange in life sciences, climate change, and clean energy between the two nations. Notably, this is one of the first MOUs DAAD has signed with a sub-national government in Canada.
  • Explore Metal Processing in Germany
    From March 30 to April 4, 2025, Canadian buyers and multipliers in the metal processing and fabrication industries can participate in an exclusive information trip to Germany. Organized on behalf of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action, this initiative offers valuable insights into German industry and innovation. Spots are still available!
  • Volkswagen Invests in Canadian Lithium
    Volkswagen and PowerCo have finalized their first mining deal, acquiring a 9.9% stake in Vancouver-based Patriot Battery Metals Inc. PowerCo will also secure sustainable lithium from Patriot’s Shaakichiuwaanaan Project in Quebec, one of the largest lithium resources in the Americas.
  • Canada and Horizon Europe
    The fourth volume of the Canada and Horizon Europe series has been released by the Innovation News Network. This publication highlights Canadian participation in the EU’s flagship Horizon Europe program, showcasing success stories and cutting-edge projects.
  • Canada: A Quantum Computing Leader
    With the launch of its National Quantum Strategy in 2023, Canada has positioned itself as a global leader in quantum computing. The country continues to invest heavily in research and development, working closely with German partners to advance this transformative technology.
  • Hannover Messe 2025
    The Hannover Messe, the world’s largest industrial fair, kicks off at the end of March 2025, with Canada as this year’s partner country. A media preview will take place on February 19, featuring exhibitors and media representatives from 20 countries. Congratulations to Canada’s Maple Advanced Robotics Inc., which has already been named a Top 3 finalist for the prestigious robotics award!
