ZIA Fellowship

The ZIA Visible Women in Science fellowship, an initiative by the ZEIT Verlag, offers young female researchers a unique opportunity for professional and personal development. Over the course of a year, fellows engage in knowledge exchange, networking, and mentorship with role models and institutional partners from academia, research, industry, and the public sector. The program is designed to strengthen their position and potential within the scientific community.

Applications for the next cohort open on July 1, 2025, with a deadline of August 31, 2025. Eligible candidates include women in the final stages of their studies, those pursuing or holding a PhD, postdoctoral researchers, and junior professors. Permanent tenured professorships are excluded. The program is primarily conducted in German.

Lise Meitner Excellence Program

The Lise Meitner Excellence Programme is designed to attract and specifically promote exceptionally qualified female scientists. The Max Planck Society has initiated a number of measures to attract increasing numbers of women to a career in science and provide them with equal opportunities for all stages of their career. An important initiative is the Lise Meitner Excellence Program.

GUILD Women in Entrepreneurship Program

DWIH is launching a hybrid innovation program for German students or researchers who are women. Offered in cooperation with GUILD Academy, this program is a combination of online and in-person learning experiences designed for women researchers to improve their business and presentatiion.
