Additionally, the culinary landscape in Germany is vast and varied, offering everything from traditional dishes like Weißwurst and Spätzle to international cuisine available across major cities. Germany's beer and wine are highlights as well, with regional specialties that are a must-try for visitors.

Eltz Castle (German: Burg Eltz) is a medieval castle nestled in the hills above the Moselle between Koblenz and Trier. The castle stands on a 70-metre-high (230 ft) rock spur that is bordered on three sides by the Elzbach River, a tributary on the north side of the Moselle. The surrounding Eltz Forest has been declared a nature reserve; parts of the castle can be visited in the summer months.

Shrimp trawlers in the harbor of Greetsiel, East Frisia in Lower Saxony. East Frisian is spoken here, which even many Germans who don't come from this area cannot understand.
Would you like to hear what that sounds like? Here you go!

However, things look completely different in Düsseldorf's media harbor, which invites you to take spectacular evening walks.

There you can also admire these wonderful architectural beauties: The Gehry buildings at the Neuer Zollhof at the Medienhafen in Düsseldorf.

The Mill Trail (Mühlenweg) connects restored mills and leads through charming side valleys that offer hikers enchanting views of Ottenhöfen.
The Black Forest is a mountainous region in southwest Germany bordering France. It is known for its dense, evergreen forests and picturesque villages. It is often associated with the fairy tales of the Brothers Grimm.

In the climatic health resort of Stolberg in the Harz Mountains, with its half-timbered houses and cobblestone streets, you feel as if you have traveled back in time. But this picture was taken in 2023!

Panoramic picture of the Pellworm lighthouse. Unlike on the neighboring islands of Sylt or Föhr, there is hardly any tourist hustle and bustle on Pellworm. The green marshland island may not have a sandy beach, but it offers plenty of space for relaxation. Green right up to the water's edge - this is how the third-largest North Sea island presents itself.

The town of Greetsiel on the East Frisian North Sea coast is known for its quaint harbor with delicious fish restaurants, traditional fishing boats, twin windmills and brick houses from the 18th century, whose gables are usually adorned with a family coat of arms.

If you like it modern and edgy, the banking metropolis of Frankfurt could be a good destination for you!

If you prefer a rustic and cozy atmosphere and would like to make a detour to the Alps or even to Italy, Munich is the place to go. Munich not only offers huge beer gardens, but also small, cozy ones with excellent local specialties, like this one here in Schloss Blutenburg, Obermenzing, München.

Hiking in the Bode Valley: through the Grand Canyon of the eastern Harz Mountains
The Bode Valley at the eastern foothills of the low mountain range is one of the most spectacular valleys in the Harz: rugged rock faces rise almost vertically up to 230 meters and push the Bode into a narrow river bed. In Treseburg (see photo) it becomes flatter and the valley slowly widens again, the Bode flows more calmly and offers opportunities for a refreshing swim in summer.
