Visa Information for EU Citizens
EU citizens do not need a visa to enter Germany for short and long stays.
However, if you are moving to Germany, you must register at the city hall (Einwohnermeldeamt / Bürgeramt).
Depending on the federal state of your residence this registration needs to be completed within 10 - 14 days after arrival.
EU citizens of most EU countries are allowed to work in Germany. No work permit is required. Further information is provided on the website of the Federal Employment Agency.
