Welcome
Language advisors for German
The language advisors of the Central Agency for Schools Abroad – ZfA – in Toronto and Vancouver counsel K-12 schools with German programs in Canada.
The Zentralstelle für das Auslandsschulwesen (ZfA) is sending two consultants to Canada to promote German language instruction and support schools offering German as a foreign language.
The ZfA consultants work closely with public and private schools, bilingual programs, and German language schools. They support teachers through consultation, professional development, and teaching materials, and guide students toward obtaining the German Language Diploma (DSD I and II), which is internationally recognized and grants access to universities and colleges in Germany.
Through close networking with the embassy, consulates general, and teachers' associations, the consultants ensure the quality of German language instruction and promote successful language acquisition.
