In 2017, Canada was celebrating it's 150th birthday, and we were celebrating as well. The German Embassy Ottawa created this exhibition for this worthy occasion. It was designed to emphasize German contribution to Canada’s development, as well as to elaborate formats and opportunities of collaboration for the future. The exhibit was inaugurated in July 2017 in the nation’s capital during Canada150. After, it moved on to Edmonton, Waterloo/Kitchener and now Toronto. Given that you can find German heritage in most Canadian provinces, the idea was to have the exhibit “travel” throughout the country.
