Director Andreas Dresen presents the storied life of the titular political singer-songwriter, covering his struggles with music, life and the secret police with sensitivity, affection and humour.
A panel of former GDR citizens as well as Canadian journalists, who covered the fall of the wall from Berlin in 1989, sharing their very personal stories before and during the fall of the Berlin Wall, will follow the screening.
