”The Story of Jud Süss“- a film that fueled the Holocaust. This two-part virtual lecture series explores the background and development of this damaging film, as well as the post-war issues and consequences associated with it.
Jud Süss was a vicious Nazi propaganda film from 1940 made with the intention to misrepresent and malign Jewish people and spread the crude and hateful racial ideology of the Third Reich. Screened across Nazi-occupied Europe, it became one of the most infamous anti-Semitic films in the world.
On November 3 & 10 from 1:30 – 3:00 pm the Miles Nadal JCC organizes an online lecture to discuss the background and development of this film as well as its post-war impact and consequences.
