We are proud to have collaborated again this year with Holocaust Education Week in supporting the opening event with the amazing Dr. Ruth Westheimer as well as presenting a free concert with German pianist Constanze Beckmann, commemorating 80 years of Kristallnacht.

It was our great pleasure to present a free chamber music concert in partnership with the Canadian Opear Company to commemorate 80 years since Kristallnacht, the wave of violent anti-Jewish pogroms which took place on November 9 and 10, 1938.

On November 8, 2018, German pianist Constanze Beckmann and violinist Atis Bankas performed works by persecuted Jewish Composers, who used music to give hope and help them to survive the darkest hours of Nazi occupation. The free concert was part of the annual Holocaust Education Week organized by the Sarah and Chaim Neuberger Holocaust Education Centre that brings speakers, Holocaust witnesses, and educators together to develop an engaging program to educate and to remember the Holocaust.

As well, we were proud to sponsor the opening night of Holocaust Education Week featuring Dr. Ruth Westheimer, a German-born author and psychosexual therapist, who recalled her childhood and her families destiny in Nazi Germany in an unforgettable way.
