On June 15, the German-Canadian Benevolent Society of BC will be showing the film “Quartet”, a British comedy directed by Dustin Hoffmann. The plot takes place in a noble retirement home for retired opera singers and musicians. To save their home, the residents plan a gala concert. But before this can happen, many an argument and old rivalries are fought out with theatrical temperament.

The event will be held in German. As always, coffee, tea, and cake will be served at 2.00 pm. The program follows at 2.30 pm and ends at 4 pm.

Am 15. Juni zeigt die German-Canadian Benevolent Society of BC den Film “Quartett”, eine britische Filmkomödie inszeniert von Dustin Hoffmann. Die Handlung spielt in einem noblen Altersheim für pensionierte Opernsänger und Musiker. Um ihr Heim zu retten, planen die Bewohner ein Galakonzert. Doch bis es dazu kommt, werden noch mancher Streit und alte Rivalitäten mit theatralischem Temperament ausgetragen.
Die Veranstaltung findet in deutscher Sprache statt. Um 14.00 Uhr wird Kaffee, Tee und Kuchen serviert. Das Programm folgt um 14:30 Uhr und endet um 16.00 Uhr.
