The German-Canadian Benevolent Society of BC will once again hold a live Christmas Fest on Saturday, November 16, 2024, from 11 am to 3 pm. This is the annual festive fundraising event for the benefit of the German-Canadian Care Home. Visitors can shop for crafts, German-style baking, honey, beeswax candles and special soaps. All activities are centered around the Atrium and adjacent rooms at the German-Canadian Care Home.

Visitors are welcome to try their luck at the bottle booth which is always a favorite game and sells out quickly. Enjoy some German food, potato salad, sausages or Leberkäse, and Sauerkraut. There will be coffee and cake, beverages and Germany’s famous Glühwein. All food and some baking can be pre-ordered online for those who prefer take-out.

The very popular online auction will go live on Friday, November 1, 2024. Auction items can be picked up on Saturday, November 16, 2024, during the live Christmas Fest event.
